With a new “structured, logic-driven” system, the main update to Google Bard today improves the tool’s performance on mathematical tasks, coding questions, and string manipulation. After integrating Gmail and Docs export last month, Bard can now export generated responses that include tables into Google Sheets e.g., “create a table for volunteer sign-ups for my animal shelter”. LLMs and traditional code are combined in Bard’s new system to “improve the accuracy of computation-based word and math problems by approximately 30%.”
