Previously, Firefox users on Android had to refresh the page by tapping the Reload page button beside the address bar. Because Chrome supports pulling down scrolling up past the top of the page to refresh since 2015 — a feature popularised by Twitter in 2010 — it includes this button in the overflow menu. Because several other browsers and Android apps now support it, this gesture is now second nature to almost all Android users.
After nearly a decade, Mozilla has added this as a stable feature to Firefox v112 on Android. Now that this essential feature is readily accessible, it will be easier for anyone who has abandoned Chrome or its competitors, such as Samsung Internet, to feel at home with Firefox.
