Gboard is one of our preferred Android keyboards, and it makes typing on your phone, foldable, and even your Wear OS watch a breeze. Google began testing a split layout for the keyboard on foldables in June 2022 in order to provide a better typing experience. Almost a year later, the company has released a similar split layout for the tablet keyboard. Google duplicates the “G” and “V” keys, which are normally located in the centre of a keyboard, so you can access them from either side.
