Google Meet, a new feature on its video conferencing platform, was launched today. The company announced on its Google Workspace Update blog that it is adding a feature called ‘Speaker Separation’ to the Google Meet mobile app.
Google Meet’s Speaker Separation feature will allow users to hear audio from other participants more clearly. This, in turn, ensures that sounds from various participants are coming from the direction in which they are sitting, allowing them to better distinguish between various speakers. This feature is not yet available to all Google Meet users on Android or iOS. Instead, this feature is only available on the Pixel 7 series smartphones, which include the Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro.
