Google Takes the First Step towards Ending Your Fitbit Account

Fitbit was purchased by Google in early 2021. The results of that acquisition were the Sense 2 and Versa 4 smartwatches, which were released in September 2022 and had a UI that looked strikingly similar to Wear OS 3. The Pixel Watch followed a month later, becoming the first Wear OS smartwatch to include Fitbit integration. As part of the deep integration, Google announced last year that you would be required to sign up for Fitbit with your Google account sometime in 2023 in order to activate your new wearable. Well, that time has finally come.
