Google may soon offer device tracking for Android devices in the same way that Apple does, without the need for an internet connection and with end-to-end encryption. Google’s Find My Device service may be expanded to allow users to track their Android or WearOS devices even when they are not connected to the internet. Users can only find, lock, sign out, and wipe connected devices that are linked to the same Google account and are online in the current version of the service.
