The Overture Maps Foundation was established by Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and TomTom. The organisation has launched an initiative to compete with Google Maps and Apple Maps. The open-source mapping project from Overture will make it easier for third-party developers to compete with Google and Apple’s products.
