TikTok has been removed from all government devices in New York City. The Wednesday directive requires city agencies to remove the ByteDance-owned social media app from their official devices within 30 days, while new downloads of the app are prohibited immediately. Employees of the city are also prohibited from accessing the video-sharing platform via its website on city-owned mobile phones, tablets, computers, and other devices.
