So far, Google’s Pixel experience has revolved around the concept of ambient computing and, to a lesser extent, digital wellbeing. And that experience seems tailor-made for a foldable flip phone. Whereas Google uses features like pausing apps, “Flip to Shhh,” and Bedtime mode to add layers of separation from distracting apps, a flip phone would allow the company to add a literal physical layer of separation.
