The Google Pixel 8 has received Qi wireless charging certification. In other words, it was first seen at the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). Unfortunately, that listing confirmed no speed improvement over last year’s model.
The listing, in any case, confirms that the Pixel 8 will have the same maximum Qi charging rate as the Pixel 7, 12W. The phone will also not support the ‘Qi2’ standard, which was announced earlier this year, based on the version of its Qi charging (1.2.4).
