The platform currently supports both light and dark modes. In fact, there are two dark modes to choose from: dim (dark grey) or pitch black (OLED). That appears to be the case no longer. Elon Musk is adamant that dark mode is the way to go, and while some may agree, it is not the general consensus. Many users still prefer light mode, and some prefer light mode during the day and dark mode at night, which is understandable and logical.
