Since April of last year, WhatsApp has allowed group voice and video calls with up to 32 participants. However, it has imposed an odd limit on the number of people who can join a group call from the start. A call can only be initiated with a maximum of seven group members. You must choose those seven participants ahead of time (you may also proceed with fewer participants).
