The fact that YouTube is testing this quality isn’t breaking news. This video quality has been tested by the company on iOS and Apple TV. It didn’t garner as much attention as the 4K fiasco, but it appears to be more widely accepted. Google TV and Android TV users, according to 9To5Google, are now seeing the new video quality option on their devices. Some of these users shared images of the new option. Instead of replacing the standard 1080p options, it will be placed directly above them.
