Android 17 Update: Every Phone Getting It and When — 2026
Android 17 stable release is scheduled for June 2026. Beta testing began February 13, 2026, and Platform Stability was reached on March 26. With Google I/O behind us and QPR1 Beta 3 already live, the stable launch is the last major milestone left on the Android 17 calendar — and based on Android 16’s June 10, 2025 stable date, the second or third week of June 2026 is the most probable window.
The only official statement from Google is that Android 17 will roll out to Pixel devices first this summer. But “this summer” combined with the established June cadence and the post-I/O trajectory makes the picture clear enough to plan around. Here is every manufacturer, every confirmed device, and what that update actually delivers — because Android 17 on a Pixel 10 is a meaningfully different experience from Android 17 on a Pixel 8.
The Two-Tier Android 17 Reality: Platform vs Intelligence
Before the device list, this needs to be clearly stated: there are two versions of Android 17 in practice.
The headline AI features — including Gemini Intelligence, Rambler, Create My Widget, Pause Point, and intelligent Autofill — require at least 12GB of RAM and Gemini Nano v3. This limits the full AI experience to the Pixel 10 series, the upcoming Pixel 11, and flagships like the Galaxy S26. Older phones or mid-range devices that get Android 17 will receive the platform, but not these AI features.
Every phone on the list below gets Android 17 — the OS, the security patches, App Bubbles, Material 3 Expressive, native App Lock, Desktop Mode, and every platform feature that does not require Gemini Nano v3 hardware. Only devices with Gemini Nano v3 and 12GB RAM get Gemini Intelligence on top of that. The list of qualifying devices is currently: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, Galaxy S26 Ultra, and the forthcoming Pixel 11 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 / Z Flip 8.
Google Pixel — Every Tensor Device Confirmed, June First
Google has officially confirmed Android 17 for every Tensor-powered Pixel device. Android 17 beta has been available for Pixel phones since February 14, 2026.
The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro get Android 17 as their final major OS update, with support ending in October 2026. The Pixel 8 and later devices are on Google’s 7-year support window.

Pixel 5a and older are not receiving Android 17.
Samsung — One UI 9 in Late Q3, Foldables First
Samsung’s One UI 9 beta is already live for the Galaxy S26 series. Based on the confirmed July 22 Unpacked event for Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8, Samsung’s rollout pattern puts One UI 9 stable arriving first on the new foldables, then spreading to the Galaxy S26 series, followed by Galaxy S25, S24, and A-series devices across Q3 and Q4 2026.

Motorola — Android 17 Beta Already Running on Flagship
Motorola is running early Android 17 builds on at least one flagship device. Motorola’s participation in the Android 17 beta programme — the Moto Edge 2025 and Moto G57 joined in February — gives it a head start on the stable rollout. Based on Motorola’s Android 17 beta commitment, Motorola flagship devices are expected to receive Android 17 faster than in previous cycles, potentially within weeks of Pixel’s stable launch.
Devices expected to receive Android 17 from Motorola: Motorola Edge 2025, Razr 2026, Razr+ 2026, Edge 2026 (when released), and Moto G Stylus 2026.
OnePlus — OxygenOS 17 for OnePlus 11 and Above
OnePlus will deploy Android 17 underneath its OxygenOS 17 skin.
Only the OnePlus 10 Pro (2022) and below will not be included. Anyone using a OnePlus 11 and above can expect to see the Android 17 update.
OnePlus 15T, OnePlus 15, OnePlus 13, OnePlus 12, and OnePlus 11 are all confirmed to receive OxygenOS 17 / Android 17. The OnePlus Watch 4 — which runs Wear OS 6 — will receive Wear OS 7 separately through Google’s wearable update channel.
Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, Honor
Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, and Honor are all running early Android 17 builds on at least one flagship device.
Late Q3 to Q4 2026 covers third-party flagship rollouts from Samsung, OnePlus, Vivo, Honor, and Xiaomi. Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra, OPPO Find X9 Ultra, Vivo X200 Pro, and Honor Magic 8 Pro are all strong candidates for Q3 2026 Android 17 updates. Mid-range and budget devices from these manufacturers follow in Q4 2026 and early 2027.

How to Get Android 17 on Day One
For Pixel owners: Settings → System → System update. The stable OTA will appear automatically when Google pushes it — likely the second or third week of June. You do not need to be on the beta channel to receive stable Android 17; beta enrolees will receive stable automatically when it ships.
For Samsung, OnePlus, and other OEM owners: Settings → Software update → Download and install. Your update will arrive on the OEM’s timeline listed above — watch for official announcements from your manufacturer as those windows approach.
